What is an SLP?

An SLP is a professional who is trained to assist individuals with communication development impairments from birth to adulthood.

A child may have difficulty with speech if they struggle with the correct production of certain sounds, repeat sounds in words or have difficulty with vocal quality.

A child may have difficulty with language if they struggle with vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar or the social nuances of conversational rules.

An SLP is a highly-trained professional who assists with the diagnosis and treatment of these concerns.
